Application of oleate amide in thin films

Modern plastic processing is developing towards automation, high speed and high quality. The faster the processing speed, the more easily friction and static electricity, film (plastic products) between the more easily adhesion, seriously hinder the high line speed extrusion;
 
The better the transparency of the film, the higher the processing temperature, the easier the agglomeration, adhesion; In addition, calcium carbonate, talc and diatomite and other filling materials widely used to plastic processing and product quality has brought a new issue, affecting the smooth surface of its products and surface gloss. Therefore, the smooth agent plays an important role in plastic production and automatic packaging.
 
At present, the common domestic varieties of smooth agent amide (oleic acid amide and erucic acid amide), soap (calcium stearate, etc.) and silicone (silicone). The latter is liquid, it is not convenient to add and use, and the price is expensive, there is no professional manufacturer in China, it is difficult to promote and apply. Although soap products are cheap, the effect is not ideal, and the amount of addition is large, so they can not be used in medium and high-grade products. Oleic acid amide and erucic acid amide, these two kinds of smooth agents, moderate price, obvious effect, add a little (0.05% ~ 0.3%), non-toxic (FDA certification), a wide range of use, has a wide range of application prospects. The static and dynamic friction coefficient of low density polyethylene (LDPE) resin can be significantly reduced by adding 0.05% ~ 0.3% oleate amide. Improve the machinability of the resin and the opening of the film, effectively prevent adhesion between the film, increase the feel of the film or molding products and improve the finish of the surface of the product.
 
In polyolefin cable material and plastic communication cable material, add oleate amide (0.05%), friction coefficient can be reduced from 0.70 to 0.16, but also change its coloring, as well as carbon black and other dispersibility, realize high-speed extrusion of cable particles, improve the wall smoothness of cable sheath.
 
To make the composite film (such as transparent PP composite film and PP pearlescent film, etc.) friction coefficient is lower than 0.4, must be added to the smooth agent (oleic acid amide or erucic acid amide), generally should be added to the core layer (intermediate layer), so that it migrated to the surface. BOPP, as a new packaging material, has been widely used in the tobacco industry. In order to adapt to the requirements of cigarette packaging machine with a speed of 500 ~ 800 packets per minute, its friction coefficient must be less than or less than 0.2. Only by adding erucic acid amide (0.12% or so) can it get such a low static and dynamic friction coefficient.
 
PP blowing film for smooth very high requirements, therefore, the choice of slippery agent is very important, in the actual production process using erucic acid amide and oleic acid amide mixed with common use, in order to achieve the ideal effect. Automatic filling machine packaging of milk, soy milk, soy sauce, drinks and other liquid substances, the packaging film is easy to open, dynamic friction coefficient ≤0.35, only add oleic acid amide or erucic acid amide can meet the requirements. Add 0.02% ~ 0.1% oleate amide to foamed polyethylene (fruit net set), can make its static friction coefficient ≤0.30, luster increased obviously.
 
Disposable medical syringes have high requirements on transparency, strength, elasticity and surface smoothness, so it is necessary to add smoothness agent into the materials.
 
In plastic ink (surface printing ink) to add the use of oleic acid amide or erucic acid amide, can improve the smoothness and finish of the ink surface, but also improve the ink on the printing crystal surface of the properties, anti viscosity, anti scratch and anti penetration, make imprinting clear, bright color.
